Beni
The province or department of Beni is located in northeastern Bolivia, Pando limited
north and the Republic of Brazil, east by Brazil, Santa Cruz and Cochabamba to the
south, and to the West with Pando and La Paz . Its territorial extension is approximately
213,564 km2, which is relatively unpopulated since it has only 411,399 inhabitants.
At approximately 236 m. is its capital city of Trinidad.
The flat, wide plains suitable for all kinds of tropical crops such as cocoa, nuts, cassava,
rice, papaya, passion fruit and other citrus fruits. It is estimated that around three
million head of cattle for food because they have natural grass that grows in almost all
the department. Fishing is a sport that finds its natural corner in this department, home
to species such as surubí, shad, catfish, pacu, and so on.
For those who want to enjoy the wilderness, Beni is presented as a wonderful option, for
an unlimited variety of wildlife, finding cougars, alligators, parrots, armadillos,
anteaters, jaguars, ostriches, partridges, deer, monkeys, wild pigs, turtles, etc., in a
humid tropical climate. The atmosphere is warm almost all year, but at certain times
they touch the area cold currents from the south, sharply lowering the temperature.
Tourist Attractions:
The city of Trinidad, where you can visit the ports of Ballivian and Almacen, Laguna
Suarez and Suarez Hill on the river Ibar, in addition to the Chuchini Resort.
Cachuela Esperanza
Natural beauty lies on the banks of the Beni River, wh ere water drops suddenly in rapids
called cachuelas, with a pleasant climate and varied fauna and flora. It is important the
production of rubber, nuts and wood.
Rurrenabaque
A heavenly place where the famous Cañon del Bala is. His landscapes and biodiversity
make it a unique place in the world.
